Lawrence S. Colton

CW2 Lawrence S. Colton is awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for exceptional courage and valor as an AH-64D attack helicopter pilot during direct combat with the enemy on 11 April 2004. CW2 Colton’s skill, bravery and tenacity, in the face of direct enemy fire, enabled the ground commander to break contact with minimal casualties. CW2 Colton’s courage, devotion to duty and selflessness are in keeping with the greatest Army values and traditions and bring great credit upon himself, the First Cavalry Division and the United States Army.
